Dear Microsoft:

YOU FUCKING FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why the fuck didn't you include a SINGLE CHECKBOX in the REMOVE SHARED FOLDER dialog?

I don't give a fuck if the folder is shared with other people. I'm not gonna remove my precious quota-enabled share from my D drive just because I want to remove a single folder. I can't also move the folder without being asked that same fucking question.

Yes, I can create the bat file that removes the folder without asking shit. But I'm not gonna do it on every single computer that has a shared drive.

So what the fuck?

PS. In case anyone's curious about the bat file (google for the original):

@echo off
rmdir %1 /s /q

Save it as delete.bat and just drag the shared folder over it (or shortcut).

Well, have you ever made a operative system?
Not as easy as some might think, and i think microsoft has finally hit something with Win7, so what if vista was a bad release to some, the only reason vista was released was cause there we're a bunch of people that started to doubt if microsoft had it in them anymore after XP.
So vista was actually Win7 in a former state, consider it a "beta".

On another note though, yeah there should of been a check box saying that. why not just remove the attribute on the folder before deleting though, and click "This folder and all its subfolders" ?

Have you used an OS that has no in-your-face obnoxious fuck-ups? People pay MS for an OS that works, and works properly. XP doesn't have this problem for some reason.

Have you ever had a bunch of folders that rest in a single shared folder (which is constantly used by multiple people)? For example D (shared drive):\Music\Some_shitty_band_that_has_over_9000_albu ms\Album_1, Album_2, et cetera? And suddenly you had to delete the whole Shitty_band folder? Guess what, you have to press "Continue" every single time you delete every single album. It's frustrating, especially if you have a lot of folders you want to delete.

You don't just remove the share from D:\, since it's constantly used by multiple people, with multiple open sessions all the time. The .bat is sort of a solution, but an average Joe would rather hang himself than attempt to delete, say, an unpacked distributive of Adobe CS4 Master Collection, which his computer-genius daughter Meg downloaded from Torrent.

Microsoft implemented "do it for all conflicts" checkboxes/buttons in Windows UI since around win9x, most of the dialogs have such feature. But this one???

BTW, the OS is Win7 RTM. And due to my new settings, the shared folders aren't a problem anymore, but still - something MS should've thought about.

Yeah, some designer didn't put a checkbox in the psd, assuming the programmers will be smart enough to put the checkbox in the dialog themselves, and the programmers didn't put the checkbox because "the designers know better" :roll:. Microsoft, what did you expect from them.
